Barcelona was u pto a great start in the La Liga season with a comprehensive win against Real Sociedad with a score line 5-1. The first goal came in under 5 mins from Barca but they soon found the game levelled 1-1. But the great Messi had other thoughts and scored 2 goals with ease...and almost had a 3rd (denied by the woodwork)....

Other important thing for Barca was the return of David Villa and he soon proved himself as a genuine striker for Barca by scoring the 5th goal in the latter part of the second half.

Across the La Liga, Barcelona's arch-rival, Real Madrid was held for a 1-1 draw by Valencia. It was highly disappointing for  Real Madrid and all the hype about Ronaldo's brilliance was tested harshly. Lets see how the season progresses...
